On Friday I saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince with Uncle D and Demon (my cousin, for future reference).
Ohmigosh it was so awesome!!!!
This movie was darker (but rated PG: just wtf people), but so much better than the other movies. I don't want to ruin it for you if you haven't seen it, but they left out some stuff which I griped about for a VERY long time.
SPOILER ALERT for those of you who haven't read the book (weirdos).
They left out the beginning of the book which I don't mind because after the first time I read the book I just skipped over the first 2 chapters.
They left out Ginny and Harry getting together. They kissed, but they never dated.
They left out Dumbledore's funeral. But they kind of had the memorial when all of the Hogwarts students (which seemed to have diminished in number greatly over the years) raised their wands to get rid of the Dark Mark.
Overall, I was impressed with the film though. Being 250 minutes long, they needed to cut something.
So, on a different note, I got home from Grandma J's house today. I had so much fun there!!!! I'm not sure when I started liking yelling and screaming and swearing rock music, but I just bought a bunch of songs from iTunes that fit in that particular category. I probably picked up the fedish from numerous trips in Uncle D's car with his CDs. And Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. After 5 straight hours of playing that game, the TV starting floating and I started to suck because my hand was cramping (much to the annoyance of Uncle D and Demon, and they didn't keep that a secret).
Great week!
Wait, what's that you say? I can't end this post without putting a picture in to keep you family members (my only readers) entertained?!
Well, all right.
On the Harry Potter website, there's a game you can play where you can put in the names of 2 people and it will pull a random Harry Potter couple out of its butt, and there you go. You can choose whether the relationship of the 2 original people is in the category of love, friends, or surprise. Go nuts!!!!!!!!
