Some of you (and yes, Grandma, I am looking at you) have been complaining that I don't describe in enough detail what in the world I have been up to this summer. Let me count the ways:
1. The day after school ended I went down to Bodega Bay, California, the place where those of you who have an unnatural obsession with weird Alfred Hitchcock movies like I do know that it's the location where the 1963 movie "The Birds" was shot, for a wedding of my distant relatives. I can't remember if it was my second cousin once removed or my third cousin twice removed...
2. I had a week off to do stuff.
3. I went to Sierra Mountain Music Camp for a week. I played violin parts on my violin (go figure!) and made friends. A boy asked me to the dance and I said no. He was creeping me out.
4. I had another week to myself. I hung out with my parents and friends.
5. I went to my cousins' house for another week. we ate marshmallows, played video games (not well, I might add), watched 'Scrubs', and went to the movies. And they are supposibly "nature people". But I love 'em!!
6. I had many sleepovers and what not.
7. I went to Disneyland with my parents, where we laughed, went on rides, and bought stuff. Of course!
8. Smack after Disneyland Mom and Dad dropped me off at Grandma's house and we went on walks and watched movies while my grandmother tried to force tomatoes into my favorite food group, but failed. We had a great time!
9. A week after that I went to Lake Tahoe for a grand family reunion, went rafting over the Truckee River, and played cards till we dropped.
10. School shopping was crammed in there the weekend before school started on August 11.
P.S. (11.) There was a barbecue for the Fourth of July between numbers 5 and 6.
Beat that!
Now please tilt your head to the left as you examine the following:

and don't forget, we did some world class shopping while you were here.
