Gwen Macy: Chapter Eighteen

Chapter 18:

 “Gwen, wake up! Wake up! It’s time to go to school!” Mrs. Macy shouted.

  “Huh?”

 “You overslept. Breakfast’s on the table.”

 “Oh, Mom. I had the most awful dream. I was kidnapped. And there was no way out!” Gwen trembled.

 “Relax, darling. You’re here now. Forget about it,” said her mother. Daisy jumped onto her bed. Gwen rubbed her eyes, wiping the sleep out of them, wiping the dreadful memory out of her head.

 She put on some clothes and walked to breakfast. But she couldn’t. There was something blocking her way. Holding her back. She looked ahead-and there was Hannah, her octopus self, grinning from ear to ear.

 “Just kidding.”
