Chapter 9:
At school the next morning, she told Tim and Mandy about Daisy.
“A puppy? How weird!” Tim said.
“Yeah,” Mandy agreed.
“I know. And we named her Daisy, too,” Gwen explained.
“Cool! How old is she?” Tim asked.
“Just three months. Oh no. Here comes Brittany
“Why does she have to be such a snob? How did she become the most popular girl in school?” Mandy said with disgust. Luckily, Brittany
“I hope that she gets kicked off the cheer leading team. Everyone hates her,” Gwen said angrily.
“We better be careful around her, she walks with bullies, and when she’s not walking with them, she walking with her friends, who love to beat up people,” Tim warned. The bell rang, and they all headed towards history class.
“Good morning class. Today we are going to learn about George Washington. After that there will be a test,” Mrs. Gregory, their history teacher said. Mrs. Gregory was a thin woman that wore nothing but gray from head to toe. She had small spectacles, and it always looked like she was going to hurl because her face was green from all the make up she put on in the morning.
Everyone groaned. Gwen, Tim, and Mandy all slumped in their seats miserably as they prepared themselves for another boring day that seemed to last forever.
