King Kong meets Pride and Prejudice? This is how Jane Austen's book would begin:
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a mysterious 60-foot tall gorilla living on a hidden Polynesian island must be in want of a wife.
However little known the feelings or views of such an ape may be on his latest encounter with a village surrounded by prehistoric stone walls, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the gibbering, shrieking aborigines, that he is considered as the repugnant but rightful property of some one or other of their daughters.
Well, it's a thought. Bear in mind, though, that if Keira Knightly married King Kong ... well, she'd be Keira Knightly Kong, which makes for an unfortunate monogram.
