Not bad! I scored 14 out of 16 on the Mental Floss musical aptitude quiz. The ones I mixed up were 'Carousel' and 'Kiss Me Kate' - my folks owned most of the soundtracks for the others, and I grew up singing the all these songs. [Thanks, Karen!]

Umm, hello? Did anyone happen to notice that of the 16 "Broadway Musicals" pictured on the web page 10(!) were from the "Motion Picture Soundtrack" of the show, 5 were actually the original cast recording and ONE ("Singing in the Rain") doesn't even technically qualify as a "Broadway Show" because IT NEVER WAS ONE? The picture, a parody of early "talkies" was (much) later made into a musical (like, in the 80s) but the movie's songs were all taken from other movies and not written for the film per se.
So, sorry, the test really should of been the web site's knowledge of musicals, which is clearly pretty much limited to what they apparently saw on TV...
