After listening to a lot of Disney radio (where they play the same eight bubblegum songs over and over), I put my foot down - figuratively - while driving, and insisted the radio stay on an "oldies" station. The next thing to play was "Call Me" by Blondie. You remember, right? Good song. I expected about 3 1/2 minutes of tsks from the passenger seat, but instead Bunny gasped in delight.
"I know this!" she said, "It's a ringtone!"
I think I heard that in an elevator the other day. Or was it the doctor's office.

How many songs can one write and produce about bubblegum? It's sweet, it's multi-colored, it looses its flavor after awhile, it's generally not good for your teeth (unless there's a specific sub-genre of sugar-free bubblegum pop)and it sticks to your face after you blow a particularly large bubble. What else is there? No wonder you lost patience with the radio...
As for Bunny's revelation: sad, and I mean Hindenburg sad, not just maligned pop detritus sad!

And, I'm still trying to wrap my head that anything by Blondie is an "oldie."
