How well would you do as a barista at Starbucks? Play the game and find out. [via Karen]
I was shocked - shocked! - to find that I, a frequenter of coffee shops all my adult life, scored zero out of eight. Whereas Karen, who doesn't even like coffee, claims to have gotten a much better score.
Is she a space alien? Or is she receiving telepathic instructions from the Starbucks Illuminati??
We all recieve "telepathic instructions from the Starbucks Illuminati": it's the only way to figure out their menus sucessfully. It's when you start recieving telepathic communiques from "the Caribou Coffee Learned Elders" you should start to panic and reach for the elctroshock knob!
On the other hand, if your neighbor's dog is telling you to drink Folgers, I have absolutely no respect for you whatsoever...
(There, darling, was that brevity-oriented enough?)

I myself do not receive transmissions. That's why I get so tongue-tied at the front of the line.

I would do poorly, too. I haven't had even one cup of coffee in my entire life.

Um, I kind of cheated. There are clues for each drink.

loved the game and kicked Barista booty (of course, I was a barista for a couple of years in college)
Woot!

I worked at Starbucks for a month during the first days of grad school when I was freaking out about money. It was one of the worst experiences of my life--so much so that I can't step foot in one now, the smell makes me nauseated. Thank god this is Colorado and there are a lot of local alternatives. Their training was like, "Here's a book that doesn't really tell you stuff and then GO! MAKE DRINKS! DO IT!!" I was definitely not cut out to be a barista.
That said, there are some UI issues with that game--I clicked on Hazelnut and got vanilla etc. I'm probably just bitter (a lot like Starbuck's coffee! Buh duh dun *ching*)
