It's Saturday, so you have plenty of time to watch Animator vs. Animation. And the sequel, if your coffee isn't finished brewing yet.
Me, I'm getting up v. early and making a road trip to West Sacramento. It's group project time for the land use course. We're studying a main thoroughfare that is about to undergo an ambitious redevelopment. Can West Sacramento transform its row of hooker hiltons into stylishly gentrified smart growth housing? You'll have to wait and read our report. Pictures of the infamous Experience Motel to follow.
Very Kool Kartoonz! A metaphor, one might perhaps imagine (if one had a metimagination), for what the Cabaldanistas are attempting to do to Hookerville...
...and, of course, reverence and libations to the valiant Community Design Grant Program peeps at SACOG that provided a small chunk-o-change ($3M, I think) to jump-start this Stygian reclamation project. :)

Kenimator, if you lived in West Sac we could interview you and use your golden words in this paper.

Please: No matter what else happens in West Sac, preserve the Dude Motel. For, as someone less loopy than I once said, what is a community without its soul?

Here it is: The Dude Motel. The foreground shopping cart bespeaks one of its many roles in the life of the community.
