NEW YORK (Reuters) - Rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley ceded his crown to Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain on Forbes.com's list as the top-earning dead celebrity.
Cobain's coup was due to his widow, actress and singer Courtney Love, who sold a 25-percent stake in the Seattle grunge group's song catalog to New York music publishing company PrimeWave.
Rounding out the top five [was] Beatle John Lennon at $24 million ...
Good lord, Yoko and Priscilla. Get crackin'! Home-girl Courtney's beating you by a mile.
I saw that and something about it just isn't right. John Lennon should be WAY ahead of them all...what's up?

Lennon would be if Michael "Congressman Foley Is My Freind" Jackson didn't owna huge chunk of the Beatles catalogue himself and thus rob JL (and McCartney for that matter) of his/their otherwise BIG potential earnings.
Maybe Courtney will spend that money on better cotoure and more rehab?
