From the prayer-as-action dept: Badger, a Northern CA blogger, will fly to Houston tomorrow to donate her time and support to an organization called Technology for All. So many families were separated by Hurricane Katrina, and other families can't get hold of people who were in the hurricane. This org is creating a series of collective survivor/connector databases which will help Katrina survivors locate each other. Badger is also taking a load of toys and other donations from her neighbors*.
I had the pleasure of meeting Badger at Grace's house last month, so I know a bit about the unique energy and resourcefulness that Houston will soon receive when she gets there.
* Including a trombone. Mwheh-heh.
I wish I had the wherewithall to go and help out. What a great gal!!

Yeah -- I've thought about what it would take to go but can't see how I can pull it off right now. On the other hand, this is a long-term thing; people will be needing help back there months from now. And then the rebuilding will start. So we might get our chance after all.
