I was a mole for the government

Crikey. I guess the word went upward to the gods of cubicle-dwellers that I've been very bored at work. They fixed that problem, all right. My department now has me

a) scheduling and coordinating on-site reviews over the summer,

b) calling businesses in an effort to collect delinquent fees,

c) training other analysts to do these collection calls,

d) learning the application process for a whole new classification of business, in anticipation of my completely taking over the classification on July 1,

e) writing a FAQ about recent legislation for our partially-exempt (and fully confused) clients, and

f) "shopping" a particular business on Friday to see what they tell prospective customers off the street about their products and services.

With all this to do, I'm sure I will no longer obsess over the fact that I can't read my own blog at work anymore.
