Via Karen, a meme to help me gather leisure recommendations. Winter break is coming!
A) First, recommend to me:1. a movie.
2. a book.[Actually, I'm "booked" up on books for a while]
3. a musical artist, song, or album.B) Ask me three questions—no more, no less. Ask me anything you want.
C) Go to your blog (if you have one), copy and paste this, and allow everyone to ask you anything.
What's the best thing about where you live?
Where will you be in ten years?
Particle or wave? Use examples.

1) "Meet the Feebles" (saw that one coming, didn't ya?)
2) Neal Stephenson's "Baroque Cycle" ("Quicksilver" "The Confusion"
"The System of the World") then you have to read his "Cryptonomicon" which features what we assume are the descendants of the characters in "The Baroque Cycle" except that "Cryptonomicon" was written FIRST (very Julian May if you get the reference)....
3) Korngold's "Die Tote Stadt" on DVD from the Strasbourg Opera--a wierd but not-too-wierd high concept production of Korngold's 1923 late romantic opera with some fine singing and some really memorable staging sequences.
a) Debbie K or Diamanda G?
b) Mozart or Salieri?
c) Yes or Genesis?

It's interesting how some are using this exercise as an excuse to recommend books and movies, while others use it as an excuse to ask questions!
