-><- Confucius says, when a seven year-old has insomnia, she will give the whole household insomnia.
-><- Later today, I'll be crawling under my house. Yes, really. Only my deep disgust has kept me from mentioning it before now. We have to run wires from room to room, and I'm the only adult small enough to fit under there. There seems to be no help for it, though believe me, I've explored every other option that doesn't cost money. I am really dreading this. I'm not the claustrophobic type (which is why I've lasted so long in jobs with tiny cubicles), but I haven't really liked crawling through dirt since I was nine. [cue music - damn, can't keep an MP3 of the theme from "The Great Escape" alive on this stupid link. Oh well. Use your imagination.]
-><- In other, not funny news, my little dog Muffy is near the end. I have an appointment with the vet next week. I'd rather crawl under my house every day than have to do this duty.
-><- Daisy the teenage dog is, by contrast, dealing with start-of-life issues. She's in heat for the first time. It's comical to watch her - she's clearly wondering what the hell is going on down there. Doggie-PMS jokes abound. Quit throwing frisbees at me, dammit! Bring me some chocolate! Oh damn, dogs can't eat chocolate. Now what?! Does this collar make me look fat?
Well, there's a plus for me being overweight - too big to crawl in dirt under the house where yu will find who knows what - ick!!
Sorry about your dog (sigh).
Had a female cat once...do females go into heat when they've been fixed?

After they're fixed, they don't go into heat anymore. Daisy will be spayed next month. One puppy in the family is enough!

I'm so sorry to hear about Muffy. I had to put Kyller down last November. I'm not going to sugar-coat it, it sucked. It was the worst thing I ever had to do, but it was for the best. I miss him terribly though, he was my first baby.
