That was just great -- I've been through that myself and I can't imagine any greater pain. For me, the trip to the ER resulted in a shot in the butt of demoral and it provided a few hours of relief that I'd never known the likes of. Better than an epidural during childbirth. I can't imagine the stress she must have truly gone through facing her wedding the next day! Wow.
