Don't say you weren't warned after you read the classic Happy Halloween, courtesy of our old friend Jack Ch1ck. [and stolen from Kimberly - but I repent! I repent!]

For God loves us so much that he allows us to BURN FOR ETERNITY (if we don't follow Jack Chicks interpretation of the Bible). I have little tolerance for hate disguised as saving souls. Torquemada thought the same way- he sincerly believed that he was saving the damned by tortureing christians and jews.

"Come on Torquemada/Walk this way" (Mel Brooks said it best!)
What can one possibly say about Jack Chick that would be of any value? Clearly he isn't listening, his fans (now there's a frightening thought) are beyond reach of any worldview postdating Geneva in the reign of John Calvin and the rest of us hellbound types have only one rational defense, which is to snicker. Not the most constructive approach to the question of church versus state, but really, the man's ideology is abominable, his art work is banal and his grasp of theological distinctions is non-existent to the point of not existing.
So Happy Haloween, Jack! We'll save a candybar or two for you to munch on as you ponder the mysteries of Hell and Salvation!

Anthony, remember the book "Holy Terror"? You called it over 20 years ago! The right did oraganize along very religious lines, and took over all the branches of government. They control 44 of the 50 state republican parties. I would like to thank Bush for forcing moderates and librals together to do extensive grass roots organizing, and bringing the loathing of this mindset to the point where we could take back the White House. Long live reason and kindness!

Come back and say that on November 3 and see if it's true or just more liberal crackpipe dreams!
I do remember that book and have forgotten all about it until you reminded me, damn you! Curse your well-educated liberal memory!
