By the way, Star Trek: Nemesis? Less than sucky! I hadn't seen it up until now, because I expected it to totally blow. And it didn't, not totally. The climax sagged a little, but the plot was good and quite movie-worthy. It was fun to watch Ryker and Deanna finally get married. Not so fun to watch Worf be hungover all through their reception, and down on the music as well (maybe he's still stuck on Deanna, poor guy). Fun to see Capt. Picard in action, no matter what.
This was the funnest part:
That's right, baby - a dune buggy! We racked our brains last night, trying to remember if any Federation shuttle craft in the past has carried a ground vehicle. We think this may be the very first, at least for ST or TNG. (Can't speak for other franchises, because I don't watch 'em. I'm a purist.) It's such a scathingly brilliant idea. Why did it take 40 years for somebody to come up with this? All those years schlepping transporter field generators and dilithium containers hither and yon, when they could have just fired up a car and driven there in style, hello.
